Word of the Head of the Department
The department of HSE is created by the executive decree n° 13-100 of 14th March 2013 and changed into a department of applied engineering on 2015 order n° 1153 of 10th November 2015 in the institute of technology university of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla.
This department aims at ensuring a professional bachelor training for 3 years for the specialty of “Health, Safety and Environment – HSE”.
The originality of this bachelor degree is to associate in training of applied sciences and human & social sciences. This articulation between prerequisite of industrial professions (engineering, applied sciences, production technology of energies and hydrocarbons… etc), management principles of human organizations (company management, work psychology …etc) and specific knowledge on risks (technological risks and classed installations, risk management approaches, dangerous chemical reactions, ergonomics …etc) answers to business demand, which are looking for competent and versatile professionals in the field of risk management.
The diversity of knowledge acquired during these three years makes it possible to integrate easily into large industrial groups as well as in the public sector or in large state corps.
In order to ensure better professional integration, the Institute of Technology applies a diversified program in relation with socio-economic actors in all these educational and professional activities, detailed in the word of the Director; such as: educational trips, internships for all levels, organizing pedagogical and Professional days, participation of HSE officers of different national and foreign companies (TFT group, Sonatrach, Halliburton, ENSP) in this training.
All these activities are part of the construction of knowledge, know-how, and soft skills for the benefit of students of the institute.
The Department of Applied Engineering under authority of Mr Hefaidh HADEF ensures good working conditions in collaboration with the teaching team of the specialty dynamic HSE, passionate and concerned about the success of this training.
